Another reason why the scoring system is great

Ken went out on a limb and bought some tires. Ken wants me to post what these tires can do for you. Here are some stats from racing last night.

Jeremy started the night out on a set of "cheepo tires from ebay" (his own words)In his first heat he pulled 24 laps in 3'(minutes) 18"(seconds)
In his second heat he was out early due to some type of issue he had with his car
In his third heat he changed over to Ken's used Sweep tires that Ken had been using for some time plus made a few suspension changes as well. In the 3rd heat he pulled 27 laps in 3'6". That's 3 more laps in 12 seconds less time than his 24 laps in the first heat. He ran a 6.325" fast lap and averaged 7.402" a lap in his first heat. In his 3rd heat he ran a 6.020" fast lap with an average 6.529" lap. That's 3 tenths a second faster for his best lap and almost a full second faster overall for his average lap time. In the main he took the win with 4 laps on the field and yet still improved his average lap time down to 6.216". Great job on the win Jeremy.

As for me I started the night out on my HPI Pro slicks that I have had great luck with. My first heat I pulled 25 laps in 3'3" with a fast lap of 6.153" and an average of 6.811" a lap.
In the second heat I changed over to a brand new set of Sweep tires. I pulled 27 laps in 3'6" with a fast lap of 5.929" and an average of 6.456" a lap.
In the 3rd heat I pulled 27 laps in 3'2" with a fast lap of 5.776" with an average of 6.271" a lap.
In the main my fast lap was 5.706" with an average of 6.101" a lap. Consistently getting faster and faster even though the temp continued to go down as the night went on.

Ken started the night off running Sweeps and he started the first round off at 27 laps in 3'3" with a fast lap of 5.827 and an average of 6.366".
His second heat was 29 laps in 3'5" with a fast lap of 5.745" and an average of 6.087".
Third heat he pulled 29 laps again but did it 4" faster in 3'1" with a fast lap of 5.646" which was the fatest of the night and an average of 5.962"
Unfortunately for him (good thing for me) he had been plagued with motor issues during the night with a few a hung brushes and ended up having a FMF (fatal motor failure) which prevented him from finishing the main.

In short, Sweep tires would be worth the $30 investment.

Things like this are great. Now that we have this system. People will really be able to see what the changes to their cars did.
