Testing out the new 1/8 scale wheels on a Slash

Post  Livingston RC on Sat Jun 19, 2010 10:49 pm

We tested out some new 1/8 scale tires and rims today on a Slash at the RC park. Here are a few shots.
The grip was AMAZING. They gripped so well, I really had to adjust my driving style, particularly around the corners. I think the ride height was slightly higher than stock but Jrich4x4 handled it well!

Ooops! Put the tire back on. Check out that tread!

The truck could get up to speed much quicker with all the grip, lauching off the jump with minimal run up to it.

The truck roosted up much more dirt with the new set up!

Time to go home - Grab the truck and lets get out of here!

LOL people generally dont understand the whole 1/8 scale thing until they try it... I have a set of badlands and while they are insane grip I tend to not use them as they are a bit much for most tracks... you should see what a normal set of buggy wheels will do...

I definetly had to change up my driving with those new tires...(insane grip !!) If i went into the turn like i used to with the stock wheels i'd barrel roll... but comming out of a turn & juicing it that thing launches & roosts anything behind it...good investment, i'm happy with them !!

see, for me im so hapy with my tire choices currently, calibers up front and bowties in the rear for the track, and the stock tires are GREAT for topsoil
